Parish Life at St. Elisabeth's

St. Elisabeth's, to many is like a large extended family. We use almost any excuse to get together for support and for fun:

COFFEE AND TEA: We gather informally in the dining room after the 10:00 AM service for refreshments, before the Adult Class begins. In summer, we have lemonade on the lawn out front.

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS bring bread and wine from Communion to those unable to come to church.

MARTHA, MARTHA! is a cooking group in the Biblical tradition of Jesus' hard working friend Martha. We make casseroles several times a year to take to members and friends in need of a home-cooked meal, or unable to cook for themselves.

OUR CARING NETWORK offers meals, transportation and telephone checks for parishioners as needed.

SEASONAL PROGRAMS can include Advent-Wreath Making, Twelfth Night children's party, Lenten breakfasts and dinners, and Feast Day Pot Luck Suppers (with Evensong).

THE BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW Chapter celebrates its ministries of service and evangelism with regularly scheduled Brotherhood breakfasts and men's nights out.

OUR PRAYER CIRCLE prays daily for members, family and friends in need of prayer, and meets twice a month to share concerns and thanksgivings.

JUST FOR FUN we have events like our annual Progressive Dinner, a women's occasional "Out to Lunch Bunch," the Parish Picnic held each spring, and Sunday School Parents' events.
